Dona Ana County Humane Society
The Doña Ana County Humane Society, founded in 1955, is Las Cruces' oldest animal welfare organization, dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals in our region. Their goal is to bring about change and create a better world for our animal companions.
Unsettled Gallery and I teamed up in November of 2015 to raise funds for this great organization through my solo show where the gallery and I donated a portion of all proceeds to the Humane Society.
Visit their website at (www.dachslc.org).
Hospice of El Paso Attack of the giant chile peppers!
The 2015 painted chile was a half-round wall hanging about 26 inches tall. It was great fun seeing it auctioned as one of the featured award-winners.
As a fundraiser for Hospice of El Paso I painted 2 three-dimensional plaster chiles that were auctioned on September 5, 2014. See www.hospiceelpaso.org for more information about Hospice.
The blank plaster chiles ready for painting
The smaller chile is about 12" tall and the larger chile is 25" tall!
